2013 ecoboost. Upon reinstall, should I install the primary timing chain before final torque of the phaser bolts? I do have the cam locks but don't want anything to move. Thanks

I think I snugged up the sprockets before putting the primary chain on then I torqued the sprockets. Make sure you use new bolts, they are torque to yield. I used the lockouts and a vise grip pliers on the camshaft to ensure they lockouts didn't slip.

I'm also following makuloco and so far its not too bad. I I just read some of the horror stories about people's timing being a hair off and throwing codes after timing job. I also got a little nervous cause my driver side phaser was so tight when I finally got it to break free and loosen it slightly bent one of my cam lock ends. I was able to get it back it place by rotating the cam with a wrench before aligning the new phaser pulleys. Just want to make sure everything is perfect when I assemble it.
