Default coming to a stop and engine dying

I have a 2010 Ford F150 with just under 130,000 miles. Over the past two weeks I will be driving on the interstate at approx. 75-80mph for about 25 minutes and then as I am coming to a stop on the exit ramp the engine will just all of a sudden run rough and die. No error codes or lights will come on as a result. The truck will start up right away and drive away and drive fine. This has also occurred after driving at slower speeds. Town driving is fine with no problems. Took it to the local Ford mechanic. They updated the pcm software as well as replaced a part I think that is located just above the spare tire that has something to do with telling the fuel pump what to do. However after that was done several days later the problem popped up again. The local Ford shop seems to be at a loss what is the problem. Any thoughts? Thanks,

The thing above the spare is the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) and was my first suspect as I started reading this.
I'll keep thinking on the subject.

Now I'm being told it may be the transmission but I don't see how that can be right. Truck drives fine shifts good and has power. Just once in a while it will stall typically after about a 25 min drive on the interstate. Then re starts right away. But I have to give it some gas initially to get over the stall once back in drive then back to driving fine.

It could just be a dirty throttle body, Have you tried to clean it ?

I could see it being a transmission issue, or rather the torque converter, if the converter is failing to unlock as you come to a stop.

I have had the exact same symptoms and after replacing all timing components, vct solenoids, plugs and cops it turned out to be an oil pressure issue at hot idle.

Only thing that worked for me was to change the oil to Rotella 5w40. All other oil and id have the same exact issues. Been running like this for months and no more issues.

I`m sick and tired of working on it so i will run it like this until the engine blows and ill upgrade to a newer f150.

This is on an 04 5.4 3v so this probably wont work on yours....sorry just saw you had a 2010
