Hello;
Had my 2006 f150 Lariat in today for service.
Code: U1950 communication with security module is what the scan has read.

Issue;
When opening the drivers door, the interior lights do not come on. After driving the truck, turning off the truck and opening the door, the radio stays on. If the lights are on, I have no warning chime. Also, the drivers door key pad, to unlock the truck. Does not work.

My understanding of the code is the door never opens.
The tech mentioned that I might need a cluster rebuilding.

Any help on determining on what I might be able to look for? or
just plain any advice to correct the issue.

I did a search in the forum on Code U1950
Talked about A/C issues.

ttt - anyone else experience this?

 

U codes are network failure codes, usually caused by a faulty module or a pinched/broken wire/connector. Nothing easy about it, get a trained tech to work it out.
