Default Check engine light is on but no code
I have a 2006 F150 Harley Davidson Ed. My check engine light is on but when check by my scanner and at auto zone and O'Riley's there is no code. This is no difference in how the truck rides. Not sure why the light is on and why I can't get it to throw a code?

The only time you get a check engine light ON and NO codes is when the main PCM is fried.

Wouldn't that mean his truck wouldn't run? But it is at the moment. Isn't it?

There are many circuits inside the PCM. Some can go bad without affecting the others.
