Default check 4x4 wrench light fixed!!

2 weeks ago my 2010 F150 with 135k wouldn't go into 4hi or 4low, and the "check 4x4 wrench" light came on.

There was not codes thrown.

I ended up swapping out the transfer case motor, and it's all good now, and was a very easy job.

I made a video of the job to help others.

Thanks,
Mike

Good video on how to replace the shift motor, but what's with the blue wire? Isn't the replacement pigtail the same as OEM?
Thanks for putting it on You Tube, wish others would do the same, myself and others will not download someone's link, who knows what may be attached, and rude to make someone clutter up their computer to help someone.

The blue wire runs from the transfer case to the shift motor plug so it has to be de-pinned and inserted into the new shift motor plug.

So the replacement motor has a connector that is different than OEM? The way I'm seeing this, if you have to take out the motor again, you have to depin the connector now from the replacement motor?
I can't see how that's a good thing.
I'm gonna watch that vid again.

OH, OH, I see now, DUH!!!! Need to pay more attention, or drink more coffee.

FWIW, same sequence happened with my 2014.

Fortunately, under warranty at the time. Dealer diagnosis was the shift motor wasn't developing the spec'd torque needed.

Replaced at no cost, no problems since, so far.

Sigh, this new stuff is nice and convenient but sometimes miss the days of the reliable mechanical transfer shifter as well as the manual lock-out hubs such as on my '89..

Default Wasn't the TC motor

Fellas
I got the text wrench come up after a long drive in wet snow storm and neither the 4H or 4L would work. No codes came up but when I brought it to the local shop they found codes for the TC motor.
I didn't want to pay $1200 for the relatively easy swap. So I did it myself.
All went well, de-pinned and de-pinned the blue wire. One thing that caught me was that the replacement motor was already in 4H. So I turned the TC **** to the and installed the unit.

Well, I have the now, but it still won't shift to 2H or 4L.

I did the gas pedal reset and it didn't solve the issue. (Key to on(not-run) gas to the floor for 15-30 seconds. Key off and back on)

I checked the tccm connectors and they were all clean.
Vacuum is good, no grinding.

I have no clue what to do next and I hope that some of y'all might have an idea.
