Default Changing a fuel pump?

2011 F150, how hard is it to change a fuel pump?

The way we used to do it at the dealer was to raise the bed on the passenger side to access it, it's in the tank. Book says to drop the tank but we found it much easier to just lift the bed.

Are you sure it needs a fuel pump ? Check fuse #27 under the hood fuse box. I have seen them burnt, if it's burnt you will need to install a external fuse.

My mechanic ran several tests to narrow it down and thinks it's the fuel pump
