from a 5spd attached to a 1st gen 7.3 PS?

It would be a simple task, just remove the brass ring, leave the rest alone. With out the brass ring to sence the rotation of the input shaft, you would be old school and I really mean old. Remember there is one ring for each gear.

I wouldnt recommend it. You would have to tear down your transmission to remove the syncro rings. There is 2 per gear. Plus I suspect that with out the syncro rings in place you could push your gear too far and have the dogs and springs pop out of place. So no I really dont think that you would want to do that.

If it makes ya feel better double clutch anyway. Spend lotsa buck because you like to dbl clutch?

I think I just ben trolled?!
