Default calipers rubbing wheels

Changed my pads and rotors in my 2012 f150 5.0 and now the caliper grinds the wheel. Yes I put the pads on right, yes there are new clips, yes stock wheels, and yes it's the caliper rubbing away when wheel. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have the pads in the right position? The pad with humps on the inside? Caliper seated down all the way?

Only time I had this issue on my 2001 one of the bolts came out of the caliper and it would get pushed out against the rim, did not catch it in time(didn't make a noise) and it cut a ring and eventually punctured the rim. Oddly enough there didn't seem to be any loss of braking, granted it was on the rear.

im having this same issue. It arised after I got new tires. I thought that I needed new breaks since it only happened when I hit the breaks. Then it got worst. I replaced the breaks and it’s still sounds bad. That’s when I noticed the rub on the wheel well. The gap on the right side is way tighter than the left.

other threads from other brands say it either the bolts that hold the actual caliber are bad or it’s the wheel bearings. I’m leaning on wheel bearing since I have changed my breaks tons of times and these bolts are good

what did you find out?

You posted in a 5 year old thread. The OP has not been here since 2018.

Your issue is not the same. The OP's is the brake caliper rubbing the rim. Yours is the tire rubbing the fender well. Kind of sounds like your suspension is broken or bent, if only one tire is rubbing and the gap is different side-to-side. Probably have better luck starting a new thread with a proper title.

arose worse brakes

The wheel well is the part of the truck body that the wheel is in. The caliper can only rub the inside of the wheel itself.
