Default a/c replacement/what's needed?

I have a 97 f-150/4.2l v-6 with a standard tran. I have a weak compressor. The a/c still cools, not as quick as it should or as cold.
The gauges have the H-side reading low. Has correct r134Achg.
I know I need to change the compressor, Dryer, and orfice tube. Ford
rec. changing the a/c line with the muffler and adding the pancake filter
kit (is this kit permanent?) I kon't know if a flush is necessary since it
still works. Fords online store has an a/c kit but doesn't list the components in it, anyone know? Yes, I know I don't have to buy fac. parts. For installation I know I have to add the recc. amount of oil to
the comp. and dryer, pull a vacuum, and recharge. Any other parts
necessary? Any other steps I should take when doing this project?
Any help would be appreciated.
