Default A/c problems

My A/C is losing it's cool(no pun intended). 05 Lariat with 60,000 mi. I don't have a/c gages or anything to check system. Guess I know what I have ta do.

You got a leak. A shop has to fix the leak by EPA standards so if its a small one you could just add frig yourself.

I spoke with a tech one time because my wifes 03 Explorer (at the time) had a leaking AC unit. He said the the big problem with Ford ACs are the condensor. The aluminum cracks easily. Her condensor had cracks at both lower corners. I was expecting a hose or connection. I have a refrigerant gas detector and I thought that it was in error when I placed the tip near the condensor unit.
