Broken vacuum fitting

Default Broken vacuum fitting

Can anyone help me identify this fitting and it's purpose. It's on a 2001 XLT 5.4L. I broke it removing the passenger side inner fender liner. It looks to me like a plastic reducer but not knowing what component it goes to makes it hard to replace. I've attached a picture.

That's your front axle breather hose. Yea, I wouldn't plug it up with anything.

It's only a vent, doesn't need to be connected to that cluster connector. It can stand alone as some of them do from the factory.

Zip tie to the inner fender where the two holes are...you may have to extend it to reach.
