Default brakes locking up

I have a 97 f150 4x4, after it has set for 8 hrs or longer, the brakes will lock up when I first ease down our street to the stop sign or when I'm leaving the parking lot at work. This happens at slow speeds and I'm pretty sure that its just the rear brakes doing this. After I have gotten on down the road they quit doing this. The drums, shoes, discs, and pads are all fairly new. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you have disc brakes you might have a leaking or bad wheel cylinder.

I have drums in the rear and am pretty sure those are the ones locking up. Thought about just trying to back off on the adjustment but wasn't sure how to adjust the drum brakes

Sorry I meant drum brakes... Did you do the work yourself? I dont think they are out of adjustment because one you get down the road it stops. The cylinder would have time to build up pressure to unlock the rear brakes.

It seems to be the left rear that I'm having the trouble with, you think I need to check out the cylinder for that wheel?
