Default Brake Light Switch

08 Ford F-150 - no brake lights. Fused and tail lights are fine - so not a bulb issue. Only thing left is the Brake Light switch. Anyone know where it is. Logic says it is near the break pedal, correct. I have a new switch ordered. Any one have any suggestions - TIPS regarding replacement?

yes, if plan on having the truck for a few years,,,invest in a Haynes manual or factory service manual. The haynes is good at covering the basic stuff. Manuals are a must if you want to fix your truck yourself and have the satisfaction of knowing it is done right.

Turns out it that my trailer hitch socket was loose. Tightened up everything on my hitch - after replacing a fuse and the brake light switch - and there it was working again. I guess it is simple sometimes.
