Default Brake issues

Hey yall, pretty mechanically inclined but I'm struggling with this one.

2011 F150 Lariat. Replaced brakes on both sides (pads and rotors) Noticed circumferential gouging on passenger side, caliper was bad and replaced the passenger caliper. After about 5 miles i noticed some smoking when at a stop. Realized likely brake fluid residual that I missed so not worried. But i noticed a pretty significant heat difference between passenger side and driver side with the passenger side being hotter (enough it melted the rest of the chrome clad wheel cover adhesive off, it was already coming off but made it easier to remove....). Driver side rotor still looks brand new but i think the passenger side is still getting hot (pics below). Checked the lines and hoses, nothing kinked or broken. Scratching my head on this one..... Thoughts?

DId you replacement pads have "ears" on one pad? If yes, the ear pad goes on the inside of each wheel. Classic mistake.

Took everything apart on both sides again to verify. The pads i have don't have the ears on them. I looked at the driver side (original caliper) and the pads are flush at the end of the rotor. On the Passenger side (the replacement side caliper) the inner pads stick out just a bit. Everything is in its place. No cross threading, no misaligned parts.

When i did the pad replacements, the passenger side was worn down to nothing while the driver was normal wear needing replacement. Looking over a few things, i came across a video of somebody describing the same exact issues and narrowed it down to the flex brake hose at the caliper (the one with the banjo bolt).

Also, while testing the rotor on the wheel, i pumped the brakes to verify there was no leaking..... AND FORGOT TO PUT ON THE DRIVER CALIPER.......... So gonna replace the driver side now as well.......... probably not a bad idea to replace it anyway as the rubber boots on the pistons were cracking and deteriorated. Gonna do some more testing tomorrow... not trying to work by flashlight tonight. Thank goodness for the other car....
Top of the inner pad is sticking out a bit. the outer one is flush.

Rain and shipping delay. Caliper for driver side and hose for passenger side will be here tomorrow.
