Hey guys, I recently purchased a '94 f150 xl with the 300 i6 over the summer and my father and I performed several needed maintenance repairs one of which being the serpentine belt and belt tensioner after the belt came off one day. Just recently, I have noticed a chirping sound coming from under the hood and today I popped the hood and listened and it definitely sounds like the belt. My question is would the belt really need to be replaced this soon or is there something else I should check such as bearings? As I'm very new to working on automobiles I appreciate any help and guidance you all can provide.
