Default Bed shifting

Hello all-

Here's a weird one for you. I drove home from parents house with a light load (~300 pounds) in the bed. Everything fine when I left, but when I got home and got out to unload I saw the whole bed had shifted about 2 inches aft. There is now about a 2 inch gap between the cab and the bed. I tried to move the bed, but it seems solid, it's just now not in the right place. Any ideas?

I forgot to add, a 2001 F-150 XLT with a drop-in bedliner.

try loosening up the bolts that hold the bed down, pushing it forward, and tightening them back up.

my old chevy had 6-8 bolts under the bed holding it down, my current pickup has them inside the bed itself. see if that works

That gap looks normal to me, you don't want the bed right up against the cab, it'll make all kind of noise.

I agree, looks like to big of a space to me. As an earlier poster suggested, loosen the bolts and try to move it forward. Use a ruler for measurements. IF the bed did move, you should be able to tell on the body of the bed due to color difference or old markings.
