Bed out of shape and.....
Hi guys,
This topic might have been discussed to death..apologies if so...I'm new here and wondering 2 things. Might be in the wrong area for these questions also...maybe you can point me in the right direction for answers. The front of the bed is curved bad enough that it vibratingly hits the back of the cab at certain rpm's. Is there a way to straighten the bed out so I can A) stop it from contacting the cab back wall and B) add a tach to see better where I can shift more efficiently? I sold a 6 spd crossfire to buy this truck. It had a tach that told me where all the power points where per gear selected ( Mercedes style ). This is a 2000 F150 XL V6 5spd manual. Roughly 98K miles and has been babied from new from what I can see except for the last owner who kept $2.00 worth of gas in the tank for the trip at hand for several years. You get the picture. All fluids have been changed along with many upgrades from negligent maintenance as I felt from the test drive this truck had a lot to give in reliable years of service. It has proven to be a jewel but still needs a few things attended to.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions & Happy Holidays to all!!!
John
