Default Battery Llight

I have a 2003 F150. I just replaced the battery last week. The battery light is just came on the other day and won't go off. The gauge in the dash says that it is charging, and I've had no problems with it not wanting to start since I put the new battery in. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Default One or the Other or the Other:

A jumper wire between the alternator winding center tap and the reg may be open (W/BK for a '97), or the reg may have an internal short taking the indicator wire to ground, or the wire (LG/R for a '97) may be shorted to ground somewhere.

The reg is internal to the alternator and I don't believe it is user-serviceable. An open jumper wire or a short can be corrected, if that is the case and it can be found.
