Back up camera questions
Hey y'all,
I've recently acquired a 2013 F150 Regular Cab XLT with a 6.5' bed.
It did not come wth a big dash for a nice camera spot, I have a little dinky screen that just displays what radio station is playing. I've been looking at back up cameras.
Do you think my best bet would be getting a navigation system that I could then buy a wireless camera and sync it up that way, or would a rear view mirror camera do well? I do not think I could install the rear view mirror myself.
Which ever way you think would be best, do you know of any reputable brand names? If I went the navigation route, I was thinking about Garmin from Best Buy and maybe having them install everything.
Thanks for the advice in advance.
Steve

Guess that all depends on how much $$ you want to spend?
For less that $40 you have several inexpensive options....
I've installed an aftermarket Kenwood DVD/Bluetooth phone/audio head unit in my truck (as I needed a mobile handheld GPS unit that did maps and geography) that has an output for a camera. I just did the add on camera for $20. Has good night vision and suits my needs. Obviously you don't have the screen--hence my recommendation/ideas for the monitor/license plate camera options.
You can spend as little or as much as you want. Just depends on your needs and wants. Good luck!
