Default Axle Splines

I have a 2010 F-150 Lariat. When I stop hard and every time I take off there is a clunk in the rear end (I wait for this to happen before accelerating). The Dealership says the axle splines need oil! I have been asking about this noise since I drove it off the lot July 30th 2012. Now I am waiting on the oil to come in ~ the dealership maintanence people say it's alright to drive it in the meantime ~
What are your thoughts/opinions on this Please,

Sincerely,
TuxMomma

Did they actually look at the truck or did they diagnois it over the phone, a clunk is a large amount of gap to go away with oil.

The service manager (face-to-face) knew exactly what the problem was! They just had to get the oil ordered ~
