Default Which automatic Transmission?

How does one tell what kind of Automatic Transmission one has in their truck.
It is a 2003 Ford F150 with 4.6 V8. (2WD) I wanted to change the automatic transmission fluid and filter but I dont want to drop the pan unless I have the correct filter. Is their a number on the Trans to tell which filter to order.

Thanks for your help!

Im going to say that you have a 4R70W, there are 2 different filters.
Inline Transmission Fluid Filter XC3Z-7B155-AB
Inline Transmission Fluid Filter Kit XC3Z-7B155-AA

If you are getting it from a dealer bring your VIN with you, it will better help them determine what you need.
