Default Automatic trans clunks

95 5.8 3sp w/ OD when I come to a stop I have a loud clunk in the trans. I thought it was the rear end, but its the trans . If I take it out of OD its not as loud but if I drop it down into position 2 its not even there. Except for the clunks it drive well for a F150 with 150,000. Any one have any ideals ?

What is the the valve body?. Is this the flat device I see when I replace the filter ? Is it easy to replace or does it need special adjustments ? I am driving the truck now by starting out in 2nd and dropping into 2nd as I come to a stop.
Thanks for the input
