Default Ambient outside temp

Outside temperature is reading 117’. Stays there entire time. Also the fans on truck are screaming? Normally they quiet down but could it be the sensor is bad and telling the computer to cool things down? Definitely not 117 outside or on the pavement. About a week ago I washed entire radiator with hose just to clean it. Haven’t used truck until today and that’s when I noticed it.

very possible but it’s been almost a week since I washed it so I doubt it’s still wet?

I looked and it an inexpensive part just have no idea where it’s located on my truck. Been searching internet and can’t find exactly where. Some say it’s behind bumper other say it’s drivers side of grill. Some say next to horn? It’s not easy to access any of those so before I take entire grill assembly off I’d like to get an idea where it may be.
Thanks

On a 2017, I had one, it's on the right side, passenger side, right in front of the radiator. As you look from in front of truck, look to the upper left corner. I can't recall where the connector is, but with a flashlight you might be able to follow the wires back, It might be right under that rubber cover between the rad and grille. That cover is held on by pushpins, very easy to remove even if all you have is a screwdriver, and take a look.

thank you I will remove the rubber cover and take a look. I had cover off already and grill removed cause my horn was not working. I cleaned the contacts of horn washed everything with hose and reinstalled. I didn’t pay attention to temp reading until this weekend and that’s when I noticed it wasn’t working. Now I know where it is I can just go ahead and order the part and than access it.
thank you again

Whenever I have an electrical connection off I add a little dielectric grease.
