Alignment issue after bilstein 5100 install
Truck is a 2019 F150 Stx 4x4 w/ 47k miles.
Alright so I need advice if I need to find a new shop. So there's this shop close to me and I got them to install bilstein 5100 shocks/struts at 1.75" and align the truck after for $700. Took a bit longer bc they needed to go buy a camber bolt for the truck.
Well when I pick it up they can't get the truck aligned properly. The camber is at 0.3 instead of -0.3 (I believe) and the steering is off center. Also the truck steers left now. They told me to drive it a few days and come back to get it aligned after it settles.
So I'm looking at the truck and it doesn't seem as level as I was hoping so check the strut and they set it to 1.25 (3rd notch) instead of 1.75 (4th notch). I contacted them that they installed it incorrectly and told me they would reset it to 1.75 for free and align for free. HOWEVER, they said they would need to charge me $350-$500 extra for parts so they can get the truck aligned correctly. They told me it needed a Camber Kit and Camber Adjusting Eccentric.
I feel like they don't know what they're doing despite the good reviews and trying to squeeze money out of me while also being incompetent. I wouldn't imagine it would be this hard to align but I am not entirely sure so wanted advice on if I should get away from this place.
Or maybe have them actually set the correct height and then find someone else for an alignment?
Update: They want me to buy 2 camber kits one for each tire so they can align it properly. I found another shop specialized in lifts and they said there's absolutely no need for camber kits or issues with getting an alignment with such a small height increase. So I'm getting the original shop to fix the height for free to 1.75 like they should've, then taking it to the other shop to get the alignment done.

my '12 has a 2" level and all they needed to align it was the cam bolt kit (with the eccentric washer and plate on the nut end only). A quick google shows those kits are anywhere from $50-$100 and looks like that does one side so you need 2 kits.
I'm not a mechanic but I wouldn't think there should be this much trouble doing an alignment on such a small lift. I feel they're incompent and out of their league. But again I'm no mechanic.
