AC Fluctuations
I have a 2013 Lariat and have been having strange AC issues lately. A while back I started slowly losing control of my fan speed. The fan would fluctuate between blowing fast and slow every few seconds. Initially, I thought I had another bad resistor but after changing it, I realized this must be something else. Overtime, I quit caring about it because even though it was annoying, it still worked. Then one day I got in my truck to go somewhere and it wouldn't turn on at all. I was pissed and planned to bring it into the shop to get diagnosed but all of the sudden after driving for about 10 minutes, it came back on. Ever since then I have been dealing with it but it has gotten progressively worse. About 50% of the time I don't have air when I turn the truck on and even when I do, it will cut off while I am driving then randomly come back on. Sometimes it stops for 2 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes.
I did notice a few patterns but they don't make any sense.
1) When I turn my truck off then back on within 30-45 minutes, the fan usually wont turn on when I start the truck. If I turn it off for several hours, I never have a problem.
2) I also figured out that if I take it off of auto and mess with the fan speeds/area the fans are blowing in a bunch, I can sometimes make a very small amount of air come out of my vents.
3) Sometimes when it is not working, I will hit a big bump in the road and it will start working again.
These patterns together don't really make sense to me but I am hoping someone can give me some insight on this problem because I don't want to drain my bank account letting ford diagnose and fix this issue.
I have searched around quite a bit for this problem and apologize if the solution is somewhere that I did not see

Assuming you're describing intermittent blower motor operation and not intermittent operation of the cooling function of the climate control system....
Sounds like a worn out blower motor. Could also be some other intermittent connection in the blower motor circuit circuit so don't just jump on that observation (unless you feel lucky) without doing some electrical troubleshooting.
