I am trying to access the EEC. I removed kick panel and parking brake assembly. I can see part of a metal box that I assume is the EEC. Only problem is to completely access this I have to remove large cast aluminum piece that parking brake mounts to as well as steering column and instrument panel supports. When this cast piece is removed the whole steering column is going to hit the floor. Is there an easier way ?

 

normally on the passenger side,kick panel, behind gloce box or under the hood.
