91 F150 Oil Pressure Problem
Hey guys.
Just picked up a 91 F150 XLT 4X4 with 156k on it. It's got the problem where after about 20 minutes of driving it the oil pressure gauge drops to zero when in drive and at a stop. Rev it up to even 1,000rpm and it goes to normal. I've read that it may be a problem with the gauge but the burning and dripping oil would have me guess otherwise. They might be separate problems as I haven't isolated the oil leak. I drove it for another 10 miles after I noticed this problem (as I had to get it home) and engine didn't seize or overheat. I'm going to local auto parts store to check the actual oil pressure under the hood.
I'm just on here looking for advice. I'm really hoping they are separate problems, like a faulty gauge and a shot oil pan gasket or something. The oil leak is coming from the lower part of the engine, so who knows.
Thanks a lot guys!
Matt
