Is it the 5w-30 full synthetic he is using? I'm hesitant about straying from 5w-20 .

Motorcraft, Mobil 1, Wix(Napa gold) I run 5w20 in the winter valvoline synblend high milage and 5w30 in the winter

GatorB8,

My dealership used an aftermarket oil filter on my F150. Can you believe it? It was even the small type. I figured it out when I went to a parts store to buy a filter and the guy gave me this huge 4 inch dia Motocraft filter. I kept telling him it was the wrong filter, but he said Ford allows two part numbers for the oil filter, a larger FL-820-S vs. the F1-A filter.

Anyway, thought I'd let you know
