It had been doing a die while driving intermittently. Got it home shut it down and next day was dead. It will crank fine just won't fire up. Trailered it to the mechanic as didn't have time to do anything myself. So far they put in a new staor in the distributor. Replaced the ECM and PCM still no go. Getting cashy throwing parts at her and closing in on her worth.

I had read some place about the distributor shaft getting magnetized being a problem. About to shoot it and haul to the bone yard. Any help appreciated.

 

Problem solved FINALLY. The new stator was bad they had put in. Seems I have a spare ECM and PCM for my truck. New problem though check engine light doesn't go out but seems to run fine. Oil pressure and temperature along with charging seems OK. Waiting on a code reader now but at least it starts and runs.
