Default 5.0 can phaser/timing help.

I am in the process of replacing timing chains, tensioners, guides and phasers on my ‘17 f150 with a 5.0. I have it torn apart and old phasers/chains etc. off of the motor. While trying to reassemble everything my timing marks are not lining up on the driver side. I’ve been following the instructions from the “workshop manual” I paid for from the motor craft website. I’ve done my best to take my time and do exactly as the instructions say but it seems that somehow my timing marks are about half a revolution off from where they need to be.

Has anyone ever had this issue and if so what advice do you have?

@dmcole08 how did you make out? i hope you got it together. my question is why did you do this work to begin with? did you have that heavy rattle noise under acceleration load? and if so did doing this work solve the issue?

Ray.
