Default 4x4 problem

hey everybody,
I own a 2003 f-150 xlt. I actualy just bought the vehicle about a week ago. I noticed my four wheel drive wont lock in. I have the electonic four wheel drive. I turn the switch to four high and theres a clicking in my dashboard for a couple seconds but than it stops, dosent engage and the light on the dash dosent come on. When i start my vehicle the light does flash upon light up. I checked the fuses in the truck and under the hood. What else could be stopping my 4x4 to engage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Default shift motor

might be shift motor on transfer case. water, dirt and wear is tough on um. try and get some one to tap on the motor when you just before or when you hit the button, it works some time. check connections at the t case. if that don't work i'm new on this site but i bet they have a tread on this here that will guide you from here, good luck
