Default 4x4 help

"F150: Hello I have a 2006 4x4 5.4l f150 and I have the electric 4x4 switch and when I place the truck into 4wd high it doesn't do anything no light now click nothing but if I put my truck into 4x4 low it slams into gear then my 4x4 works what should I do

First check the big 20 amp fuse under the hood. If you have power the next step is under the truck. The electric shift motor on the transfer case has an internal bump stop that breaks. When the motor goes past the set point it locks out the system by default. If your real handy, you can pull the motor off the T-case and repair the stop or buy a new one, about $300. There are some great YouTube videos on this repair.
