Default 4x4

Here's my question I've got an 04 stx 4.6 4x4 is there anything out there where I could put manual locking hubs in the front I'm trying to get a little bit better mpg if there's not I'm thinking of removing my front driveline any ideas?

It might affect mileage slightly, but it sounds like you might put more wear and tear on your front diff and CV's. Are you lifted? If you're not lifted, it might affect it differently, maybe get quite a bit more mpg?

No I'm not lifted just a level up front I was just wandering figured if I put manuals up front or take the drive line out it would be less resistance plus more mpg

the front hubs vacc release so your drive train doesnt turn

Yes but there's still rotating mass that the motor dosent need to turn

how??? theyre on the back of the wheel bearing and disconnect it at the end of the cv shaft dofferent from the previous gen f150s
