Default 4r70w question

i just had my 4r70w rebuilt by my buddy (he knows what hes doing...i think )
but its kicking in and out of overdrive
we put it on the scanner it showed the tps not working
so i changed it
checked codes again now the brake switch is out of range
it this what is making it kick out of gear?
and if i get on it hard it will sometimes nuetralize
any help would be great thanks

Check the wiring harness going to the back of the truck Easy to pinch when installing the tranny

but whats an mlp sensor
is that the one on the side on the shifter?

Oh, sorry, Manual Lever Position sensor, and it is the device mounted at the shift lever on the side of the tranny. It has an internal resistance tree that sends the lever position to the PCM by changing the resistor value. As Torkum suggests, check closely the condition of the harness, then make sure the connector to the MLP is clean.
BTW: I will assume that the MLP sensor was set up correctly when the tranny was reinstalled.....with the shift lever in neutral and the neutral marks on the MLP sensor aligned when the shifter cable was installed.
