Default 2024 TPMS info

I finished up a big brake install this weekend on my 2024 XL. I also added a new set of rims and tires and removed the stock steelies and stock Pirelli's. When I bought the new rims I had them set up with new TPMS sensors as I didn't want to hassle with swapping them. Finished up the brake job, bled them good and put on the new rims and tires to check fitment. I then decided while I had the truck up on the lift, I would install my new B&M Trans Dip stick. So you have to get the trans up to temp, get a good level check and then transfer that level/mark to the new dip stick. Took about 15 minutes of run time to get the trans up to temp. Got that all done, lowered the truck. Torqued the rims to spec and then took off to bed the new brakes in and over all test drive.

As my buddy and I were doing the bed in process, he said crap! We forgot to check the tire pressures, and I said they feel okay for the test drive, so he said look at the TPMS, and I said crap I forgot to reset them! Went to that page in My View and ALL 4 tires were reading pressure! I guess while I had it idling for ~15 minutes it had registered the new sensors and was good to go! No TPMS messaging and good active readout on the new rims/tires. After 10 minutes of brake bedding the tire pressures in the TPMS readout did go up a couple pounds, so I know it is working.

So apparently the system will eventually register the new sensors after 15 minutes of run time or so with no need to run the re-learn process. This may work on other years as well but on my 2019 Transit Van, I had to use the re-learn process on that vehicle to get the sensors to work.

Glad you got it sorted, my 13 has always updated the TPMS without the use of a reader. I think our trucks have done this for a while.

yeah, like I said, when I had new tires put on the 2019 Transit van, I drove my transit around for 2 days after and then I finally did the re-learn on it to get the TPMS to register. It was cool the system recognized the new sensor and registered them.

My 2002 Corvette, you have to do the re-learn and excite the sensor/transmitter to get them to read if you replace them.
