2016 F150 will only crank in neutral
I have a 2016 F150 and having some issues. It has died 2-3 times and wouldn’t crank. I cleaned the terminals and started right up. I tested the alternator and battery and it seems fine. Battery is very new. It is progressively getting worse as this time it wouldn’t even crank when hooked up to jumper cables. However after many tries I shifted into neutral and started right back up with no struggle or issues…
any idea on what the next step is?
These new push button start are a real pain in the *** in situations like this. Makes me miss a key…

Search "lead frame" on the forum. Transmission range sensor problems are included in the list of issues.
