2015+ How does the fuel system work
I suspect I have a slow pressure leak in my fuel system or vapor lock. I’m curious if anyone can help me figure this out. I actually have another thread about a long crank when it sits for 2-6 hours. It starts fine 1st thing in the morning and within an hour of driving, but after that it takes several seconds. It’s enough time to make you wonder if it’s going to actually start. I see a slight improvement if I turn the truck on for a few seconds before starting to “prime” but it still doesn’t sound right. No codes on the computer.
My primitive brain thinks the pressure slowly drops there’s something that tells the fuel pump how much to pump depending on the temp of the engine. Or there’s vapor in the lines that eventually dissipate if it sits long enough.
