Default 2012 EcoScrew problems

I bought my 2012 F150 Ecoboost Screw FX4 in September of 2012 as a leftover. It was brand new. The truck was built in 11/11 and had been sitting on the dealers lot since February 2012. I got a good deal.

After I took delivery I had to return it to the dealer shortly after for some additional items (clip missing from dash panel) and an oil change (it hadn't been done prior to delivery (should have been changed due to sitting 6 months). No biggie

A couple weeks later I noticed that after the parking brake was released the brake light did not go out. I took it in, the dealer ordered a new brake cable. Said they would call me. A month later I finally called and he said yeah, I think its here. I took it back in and they replaced it.

About a month later I was pulling out from a parking lot on to a busy street and the truck wouldn't go, shifted to 5th gear and bucked while trying to pull it in to a parking lot. The next day while in a parking lot the truck did the same thing. I got a picture of the dash showing 5th gear while the truck was not moving and at idle speed. Turning the truck on and off corrected the problem.
This problem could really leave you in a compromising and possible dangerous situation. I took it back to the dealer to find that the truck "threw" no codes. Service tech said they will reflash and that should fix it.

A couple weeks pass, no problems, except the parking brake, problem is back. Called dealer, said they will order another brake cable.

A month ago I noticed my rear taillights had condensation in them. I took pictures and showed dealer. They ordered new taillights. I scheduled an appointment for the taillights and the brake to get repaired at the same time.

Last Friday while merging on the highway the truck lost power, the check engine light started to flash, and the truck shuddered badly. After about 15 seconds the light when out and power resumed. The is the second compromising dangerous situation with my truck.

I am now frustrated, called the dealer, told them to get me a loaner and I am dropping it off. I got it in yesterday morning, spoke to service manager told me he is going to fix the brake, taillights, and check in to this new problem. I got a call last night from my service tech that it "threw no codes" and that the service manager is going to drive it for a day with a monitor hooked up to it to see if it repeats the problem.

I have never had a vehicle that has put me in a compromising situation before. I owned 12 different cars, mostly Toyota. Never has this happened. I am a new father with an 8 month old daughter. I don't feel safe driving her around in this truck until it is diagnosed and fixed properly.

My question/s:
I don't want to diagnose the problem with my truck on the internet. There are several blogs and I can speculate what the problems are. My question is what do I do if the dealer can't find the problem. What is my recourse? What would anyone recommend as a next step and has anyone dealt directly with Ford on such issues?

Sorry I can't give any advice as I just don't know. I too have a wife and two children and being that my new truck is now my daily and only driver and reading all of these problems I am hoping I didn't make a mistake and that I don't have similar issues. So far just some serious bog and delay when accelerating and rough downshift into first.

Best of luck to you.

Looks like the dealer is going to replace the intercooler. Per the dealer all of my issues have been covered by a technical service bulletin. While my experience has been unpleasant I can take a little comfort in that Ford knew of these issues and I don't have any ghost problems... yet. I hope this fixes it and I can get on with enjoying my new truck.

A VERY brief skim of the first page on here(there's even a 'sticky' at the top), or a quick search would've given you LOADS of information on this topic, including the fact that there's TSBs covering it.

Loads of information on this site have no bearing on what a dealer will cover, even with a TSB. As per the dealer, codes have to be present before a TSB is implemented. Especially with the intercooler and yes I read, on here, about each of those TSB's and speculated what the problems may be. The dealer has a nice grin on his face when I told him about the forum and what I think the problem is.

I was looking for recourse IF the dealer would not perform the TSB's and if anyone had experience with Ford or the dealer in such cases. As per the last paragraph of my original post.
