2011 F150 won't start after parked on a slope.
I Backed my Dad's 2011 F150 with ecoboost engine up the driveway on a fairly steep incline. The fuel light was on and had been on for maybe 10 miles when I parked it. He went to start it a week or so later and it started up and ran for about a minute then shut off and now it wont start. we have put 6 1/4 gals of gas in it, but it still wont start. It turns over fine, it just wont start. I have read that the fuel pickup is in the back of the tank. Is 6 gallons enough for the pump to pickup or could it by chance be something electrical causing it to not have a spark? when the key is turned on I can hear the pump kick on. Thanks for any advice!

Second thread today. It's been well document that you can't park your F150 on a steep incline with only a little fuel left. Get it back to level ground and it will start up.

So even if I put fuel in it it still wont start until i get it to level ground? I have never heard of this before looking through several threads the last few days.

6 gallons isn't much. Sounds like the fuel pickup might still be sucking air, instead of fuel. Like BCM suggested, get it back to more or less level. Likely have to crank it longer then normal to prime the fuel system. Happens on big trucks all the time when they go on a dumper.

Thanks for the info. My dad had his truck towed into the dealership before I could talk to him about the problem, only to find out there wasn't enough gas in the tank for the pump to pickup... Lesson learned.
