2011 F150 SuperCab 4 Wheel Drive Question
Ok I got rear ended while sitting at a stop light on 10/28 by a kid texting on his phone going around 50 mph. He was driving a little rice burner Toyota and mostly went up underneath my rear end.
Long story short I decided to check the 4 wheel drive and now I'm experiencing a loud click when shifting in or out of 4 hi or 4 low. Also when in 4 hi it seems to have trouble coming out of 4 hi until I slow down and turn then I'll hear a click and can feel that it has come out of 4 hi.
I took it to the Ford dealership I bought it at and they said the click is due to uneven tire circumferences and I need new tires and an alignment. I didn't notice the click before the accident and admittedly I haven't used the 4x4 since last winter probably.
Is new tires a valid solution to this problem. I appreciate any help you guys can provide.
I drive a 2011 F150 SuperCab XLT 8 Cylinder 5.0 that has 36k miles on it.
Thanks in advance!
