Default 2011 Ecoboost stuck in 3rd

If this has already been discussed i would appreciate someone directing me to the thread.

I just bought a 2011 ecoboost with 175k miles to pull my camper with. It is in incredible shape, BUT the third time i drove it, the wrench came up and the truck got stuck in 3rd. I pulled over, put into manual and shifted through the gears fine. Put into auto and it was fine for a day or two. It was showing P054A, P054C, P0770, P0773 and P0774. I have it at a good shop now checking it out, but im curious if anybody has seen this? Ive read about a recall or two, a lead frame assembly issue, bad batteries, stuck solenoids, etc.

probably solenoid issue. They are very finicky and one of the main reasons ford mechanics recommend changing the fluid more often that ford recommends.

My mechanic wants to replace a solenoid, the lead frame and change fluids. Only problem is the lead frames are apparently on a nationwide backorder. Ive checked with another shop with no luck. The Ford dealer says he has some coming in the end of august but wont put my name on them unless they do the work (which cost twice what my mechanic will charge). Anybody know where i can get my hands on one of these buggers? I told the mechanic to go ahead and change the solenoid and fluids to just see if that fixes the issues while we are waiting.

Oh yea. I cleared the first two codes above by putting some oil in. It was 2 qu low!!! I know that indicates other problems but hopefully not with the timing chain...
