Default 2008 Starting issue, possible DTR Sensor Issue?

2008, 5.4L auto trans. 'm back with another problem. This is something that has happened with more and more frequency. Turn the key, nothing. Turn the key and shift out of park then back into park-turn the key to start and she fires right up. I suspect it has something to do with the DTR ( digital Transmission Range ) Sensor because of what I read up on. Next question, how to fix? What commonly fails? Just a bad connection? And most importantly WHERE THE HELL IS THIS THING LOL.

Here's another possibility. I think he talks about a variety of possible causes though.

The 2004 thru 2008 Ford trucks have a device called the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM). If you have never checked yours there is a very good chance it's aluminum cover plate has corroded through exposing circuitry involved with the starting and running of your truck. Its located above the spare tire on the rear axle and has to be unbolted to inspect the aluminum cover which faces the axle.
DTR may be the problem but FPDM deserves attention.

Replaced that a couple of years ago when it left me stranded. I figured out my problem this time. Turns out I just needed to swap out the DTR
