Hey guy’s, so I just completed an engine swap In my 2005 F-150, and I’m trying to get my PCM to engage the A/C compressor clutch, but I’m not having any luck. I took the truck to an A/C shop where they made me custom lines and charged my system with r134a. They were able to jump the compressor clutch to force it to engage and blow cold air in the cab, but the PCM isn’t doing it on its own.
I have a Tach adapter so that the PCM is seeing the correct RPM’s, and I have the Cylinder Head Temperature sender connected to the harness, even though it’s just hanging in the cab, it should still work. I verified the pressure switch on the Accumulator is working. I checked the 2 fuses (fuse 11 and 32) that are part of the A/C clutch relay circuit. Neither are blown. I’m not sure what else I should be checking. Truck has manual A/C controls (non-climate control). I feel like the PCM is looking for another signal that I’m not aware of.
