Default 2004 F150 oil temp sensor replacement

I replaced all of the timing components in my 2004 F150 5.4L back in August, and the truck has started throwing P0198 (high oil temp) codes. I suspect this is due to a bad connection or faulty EOT sensor, as I had a heck of a time removing the connector from the sensor on the side of the oil pan when I did the job, and couldn't get it to click back in place when I reassembled. I've removed and blown out the socket and cleared the code, but it just reappears within a few days.

I cannot find any information on what's involved in replacing this sensor, and the local Ford dealer quoted $570+tax for parts and labour. I can pick-up a non-OEM sensor for $70 in town, but I'm not sure if it just threads into the oil pan, or if there's a nut on the back side that would require dropping the pan to install. Anyone done this before?

It just threads in, nothing special about it besides draining the oil.
I got one from O'Reilly's for $40. They're probably cheaper on Amazon too.

Great, thanks! I think I may have solved the problem anyways just with a thorough cleaning of the socket... seems that there was some mud and sand built up preventing a good connection. Good to know for future reference though. And I'm in Canada, so everything costs double the US price.
