2004 f150 hesitation issues.
Hello everybody,
I have a 2004 f150 that I am having issues with. It starts right up just fine but I have had it stall right away when shifting it into drive. If it does not stall sometimes it starts to idle low. When driving it seems like power is normal when starting off but when it shifts to 2nd gear the rpms go way down and acts like it wants to stall out. I do not have any engine lights on and also had autozone hook it up to the computer and read no codes. I am looking for suggestions before I start just replacing part after part. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Maybe your Injectors are dirty. Have you tried running an injector cleaner through your system? I'd try that first since it's extremely cheap. I personally like Gumout. It's less than $4.

Techrep thanks for the reply,
I have 104,000 miles on it. No tune up ever done to it yet. Changed the air filter and cleaned the MAF the day after it started. I should add that this all happened at the end of a day of towing a car and heavy trailer. I almost feel as if it is the torque converter. When it shift the rpms drop low and feels like it has no power. It is doing it in all gears but not as noticeable as you get going. When slowing down the rpms also drop off when it's down shifting and when coming to a stop almost stalls.
