Default 2003 Trans issue

I have a 2003 F150, 5.4 automatic. Recently, trans has been slipping when cold and slow to engage in drive. Fluid is super clean with no bad smell and at full on dipstick. The pickup has 300k miles on it and has never given me the slightest bit of troubles. Any thoughts on a cause for this issue?

15 years old and 300,000 miles would wear anything out. Machines do that sometimes lol.

Absolutely, every 40-50k. I just cant wrap my head around having zero indications of a problem. No discolored fluid, no bad smell, nothing...
