Default 2003 Driveshaft

I have a 2003 XLT v6 4.2L. My drive shaft broke on me the other day. Been looking on here, says use a 12 point 12mm socket to remove the bolts at the rear which I did. Then they say to slide the drive shaft out of the transmission. The shaft is not moving. Neither forward or backwards. Are there any kind of retainer clips or rings or bolts or anything I should be looking for? Could it just be stuck?

Any suggestions on how to get it unstuck?

Hell, I'd hit it with a hammer just a little, anything to jar it loose from the flange, unless I'm missing something here, mine basicly fell off.

I took a ratchet strap and wrapped it around the drive shaft then to the trailer hitch. couple of ratchets and it popped off.
