2000 Ford F150 - 5.4L V8 AC blowing through defroster
I recently began experiencing issues with the A/C blowing through the defroster when under load. Today that switched to it always blowing out of the defroster regardless of whether or not I'm giving it gas. Of course this would happen when it's 110 degrees outside. From what I've been able to find it seems this is caused by an issue with the vacuum lines. I traced them from the upper intake manifold to the vacuum reservoir behind the battery. I found one line that appears to have broken off and is sucking air, but I can't figure out where it is supposed to connect. As shown in the picture it's the one that branches off and goes downward. Where is it supposed to be routed to?

Report on the 97-03 section or have this moved there if possible. You should get quicker response.
If I had driven the ‘03 today, I could help you and check under the hood. I feel your pain, either way.
