1999 ford dome light problem

Default 1999 ford dome light problem

Im having problems with my dome light staying on all the time. And also the door ajar light stays on then off. I think its the passenger door giving me the problems. Any ideas? Any info will be gratefull

Try using some WD-40 or like on the latch mechanism. Had the same issue with my old 99 Ranger. Spraying Amzoil MP and working the latch (open and close door) a couple of times cleared it up. Dirt and oil gunk up the latch, with contains the light switch. While you are at it, you might also treat the driver door.

Just and FYI do not use litihum grease on these areas, litihum grease collects dirt, gets sticky and then more problems begin.
