1992 F-150 XLT. Does anyone know what kind of fasteners that hold the black plastic insert into the brushed alum trim on the tailgate? The brushed alum is held on by 6 bolts and 4 nuts...got that off no problem, but that black plastic thing looks like it's held on to it by rubber type grommets(?). There's two missing/worn which causes it to bulge out, so I'm just trying to figure out a way to flatten it back out.

Seriously? No one on this forum as ever messed with that plastic piece? LOL...I stumped you all! ha! Oh well....maybe a body guy will eventually read this thread. I sure can't find anything on-line about it, nor in my chiltons manual.
